喜歡歷史

有人說我喜歡歷史，猶如說我喜歡吃川菜；但其實各大菜系我都喜歡，粵菜系內的諸多分支、如 港式粵菜、潮菜、順德菜……我都喜歡；國外的…日式、意式……都…喜歡…

不過歷史確實吸引人，千百年流傳下來……情節……真實性、故事性、戲劇性、文學性、教育性………完全具備、無所不備……

如 英王 享利八世（Henry VIII 1491-1547）、先後娶了六個太太，殺了其中一些…女兒 是 女王 伊莉沙白一世……的歷史，常被 編成戲劇、電影、電視劇……也是我非常喜歡的歷史片段……

故事中另一人物 湯瑪士摩爾爵士（Sir Thomas More 1478-1535）作為大法官（Lord Chancellor）因反對 享利八世 與第一任妻子 西班牙公主 Catherine of Aragon（1485-1536）離婚 另娶 Anne Boleyn（1501-1536）而被殺、斬頭……

湯瑪士摩爾 並不是以宮廷權鬥陰謀等等 戲劇性精彩情節 吸引眾生，卻是以操守原則人格與才學 留芳百世；《烏托邦 Utopia》是他的名著；後世名劇、電影 A Man for All Seasons（有譯作 日月精忠）是描寫他的一生。

今天分享一首動聽歌曲《The Last Rose of Summer》，歌詞來自另一位 愛爾蘭 詩人 Thomas Moore（1779-1852）：
